20 Questions - Are You ADD / ADHD?

Self-diagnosis

So here are my twenty questions which I believe should help you determine whether you or someone you care about is ADD/ADHD:

20 Questions, are you ADD/ADHD?

  1. Is it hard to plan ahead, organise and prioritise?
  2. Are you frequently late?
  3. Do you find big-pictures much more interesting than details?
  4. Do you  drift off and daydream frequently?
  5. Do you often find it hard to concentrate or get bored easily?
  6. Are you more awake in the evenings and find it hard to fall asleep?
  7. Is blurting, saying what's on your mind without thinking, an issue for you?
  8. Can you focus so deeply, that you don't notice anything or anybody else?
  9. Do you never get round to certain important activities: paperwork, tidying, planning?
  10. Do you sometimes feel driven by a motor, or conversely feel stuck unable to take action?
  11. Are you very intuitive, empathetic, creative, an unconventional thinker?
  12. Do you often act impulsively and react quickly, without properly reflecting?
  13. Have you been called or felt you are lazy - school always said "should try harder"?
  14. Do you use diet coke, alcohol, coffee or drugs to "calm" your mind?
  15. Have you "under-achieved" & not met goals, start new tasks before finishing old ones?
  16. Are you easily distracted/bored, tune-out/drift-off while reading or in conversation?
  17. Is it hard to go through established channels, follow proper procedure?
  18. Are you impatient, do you hate queues and drive fast?
  19. Have you a family history of alcohol/drug addiction, anxiety or depression?
  20. Are you forgetful, often losing or misplacing things, forgetting appointments?

How Many Yes's??

If you answer is YES to most of these questions, then you are likely ADD/ADHD. To be certain, of course, you will need to receive a medical diagnosis. Whether self-diagnosed here or elsewhere, if you are newly diagnosed, newly medicated or just need some help with your ADD traits, please - give call me on 020 8816 7752 or email me - to arrange an initial ADHD Coaching consultation.
