Are you ADHD?

So here are my twenty questions which I believe should help you determine whether you or someone you care about is ADHD.

Twenty quick questions, don't dwell!!

Quickly scan and answer a simple yes or no:
Do you daydream, distract and get easily bored while reading, listening or in meetings?
Will hours pass you by, whilst you are deeply focused on browsing, or your favorite app?
Is it hard to plan ahead and prioritise -  you'd rather wing-it but forget appointments?
Is there a history of addiction or anxiety/depression in your family?
Are ideas an amazing connected mesh in your head but hard to set in order sometimes?
Is there a history of addiction or anxiety/depression in your family?
Does it seem you never get around to certain important activities: paperwork, tidying, planning?
Do you have trouble with a regular bedtime routine or getting enough sleep?
When interested will you talk fast and maybe blurt out what's on your mind?
Do you have trouble following established channels or procedures?
Are you forgetful, cannot remember names, and frequently misplace things?
Are you a perfectionist when working on or creating something you care about?
Are you frequently late and tend to procrastinate until the deadline is near?
Do you often feel overwhelmed by your emotions?
Do you act impulsively and react quickly without reflecting?
Do you use substances like diet coke, alcohol, coffee, or drugs to calm your mind?
Do you focus on new interesting projects, hobbies or people intently - until the novelty wears out?
Are you intuitive and excited in finding unexpected solutions?
Are you impatient, hate queues, eat fast and drive fast?
Have you been called or felt you are lazy – “should try harder”, “underachieved”?
Are you highly empathetic, a people pleaser, and sensitive to rejection?

How many yes's??

How many did you answer yes? If your answer is yes to most of these questions, then you are highly likely ADHD. To get a medical diagnosis you will need to see a doctor or similar specialist, but to act on the advice and insight offered here, self-diagnosis is fine!
