An Informative and Fun Support Group with Brunch in Hammersmith
We are based in Hammersmith, with easy access and a great room. The meeting is at the Irish Cultural Centre by Hammersmith Tube, usually with around twenty people of all ages 18-70, all professions from unemployed, to entrepreneurs and psychiatrists, in an enjoyable atmosphere, with a great brunch, educational and most importantly stimulating!
19th September Meeting: "ADDressing Relationships"
Relationships are often impacted by ADD, sometimes in a "mixed" relationship there can be a wide gulf in values and priorities between the "neuro-typical" partner and the ADD partner, sometimes the struggles in ADD with addictions, depression, job problems and money; and relationships may even be threatened over trivial yet critical issues such as failing to put the bins out or remembering an anniversary! On our First Anniversary of the Tear & Share support group we are having a party and welcoming any friends, spouses, partners, parents involved in a relationship with an ADD adult to join in and explore how best to live a happy life with an ADD roller-coaster relationship!
Tear and Share is a monthly get together for Adults with ADHD. In an informal, pleasant setting, next to Hammersmith Tube Station and the River Thames, participants can have coffee, tea and fresh juices, and share some tear-able brioche and other breakfast treats. Each month there is a presentation on an aspect of ADD, then plenty of time to discuss the talk and to share the highs and lows of ADD with fellow attendees. The aim is to be a fun and relaxed support group, with the added value of informative talks, focused discussion, a relaxed setting and all enjoyed with "brunch" food and drink! It is organised to keep interest high and to ensure everyone equally benefits from their experience of attending.
