ADHD Support

In the UK we are in the very early days of recognising and developing support organisations for ADD. When ADD affects so many, (up to 3 million people in the UK!!), it can seem surreal at times to see how little support there is.

The primary national organisations devoted to helping people with ADD in the UK is called ADDISS. it is a charity historically focused on children but increasingly supporting adults too. These are a few adult support groups across the UK, some ADHD psychiatrists, ADHD coaches and a few websites devoted to helping adults.

UK Support Organisations

ADDISS - ADD Information and Support Service - a UK charity mainly focused on helping parents, children, teachers and health professionals, though is beginning to address ADD in Adults too. It has a magazine ADHD News and organising an annual conference primarily for health care professionals.

Adult ADHD Support Groups

ADHD Support groups are a great way to meet other interesting people with ADHD, exchange successes & problems and to gain more understanding of ADHD.
